Dear Mrs. Coro's class,
ReplyDeleteI love all the comments about the museum my classmates made (including me). I really hope 5th grade will go to Griffith Park again next year, that includes my sister in 1st grade. That was my favorite field trip so far this year.
Sincerely,
Shana
Dear Mrs.Coro,s class,
ReplyDeleteGriffith Park Observatory was super fun! One thing not said was that we learned how to make a comet. It consists of about three teaspoons of carbon, sand, dry ice and a bag halfway full of water. First pour the sand and carbon in the bag of water. After that get on gloves and take out the dry ice and put in the bag. DO NOT TAKE OUT THE DRY ICE WITHOUT GLOVES!!!! Next, make in to a ball shape and hold it their to until the ice freezes. It should take about two-three minutes. Take it out and put it in a cup. Now you have your own comet . Make sure no one touches it.
Sincerely,
Isabel
Dear Mrs.Coro's Class,
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in the Planetarium I felt like I was soaring in the sky, going on an adventure through different galaxies.
Sincerely,
Morgan
Dear Mrs. Coros Class,
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the tesla coil at the observatory I could have sworn that it was going to come straight through the glass any minuet. The neon sign just barely lit up. It was scary and awesome at the same time.
Sincerely,
Michael
Dear Mrs. Coro's Class,
ReplyDeleteI had a really fun time on the field trip. My favorite part, was when we weighed ourselves on the different planets. On Pluto I weighed only 1 lb! That is 71 lbs less than my weight on earth. I had a great time and hope to go again soon.
~Noah
Dear Mrs.Coro's class,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed going to the Griffith Park Observatory. Did you know that you could fit 1,000,000 earth's in Jupiter?
Thank you to all the teachers and chaperons.
Sincerely,
Courtney
Dear Mrs. Coro,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the field trip to the Griffith Observatory, because we got to look at the amazing telescope that was transported to the Observatory in 1935. Secondly, because of the Planetarium show I felt like I was soaring in space. Lastly, I like the part where we made an earthquake and we got to weigh ourselves on different planets. The earthquake we made was a 2.8 earthquake, and I weighed 199 pounds on Jupiter.
Sincerely,
Tariq
Dear Mrs. Coro's Class,
ReplyDeleteOne fact about the universe is that Europa(Jupiter's Moon) has an underwater ocean, and there are still beliefs that life is in the ocean. Another fact is that the sun is not the biggest star in the whole galaxy. Lastly, Pluto is a Dwarf Planet.
Sincerely,
Cameron
Dear Mrs.Coro's Class,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Griffith Observatory because of the planetarium. I felt like I was moving in space. It was awesome.
Sincerely,
Rawmteen
Dear Mrs. Coro's Class,
ReplyDeleteI chose to write a haiku about salmon.
Salmon
Claws grabbing salmon
rushing water everywhere
stomachs are growling
hope you enjoy.
~Noah
Dear Mrs. Coro's class,
ReplyDeleteAlong with the planetarium movie our class saw, there is a different one. As this one explains how water has to do with astronomy, the other one shows the history of astronomy and shows astronomers' theories, studies, and explorations.
Sincerely,
Brian
Dear Mrs.Coro's class,
ReplyDeleteGriffith Park Observatory was the best field trip ever!! I hope that all the younger kids have a geat time when they go there.
Sincerely,
Isabel
